Rio+20: “My Idea of Sustainable Lifestyle”
Rio+20 - the short name for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development - Â is an historic opportunity to define pathways to a safer, more equitable, cleaner, greener and more prosperous world for all. It will take place in Brazil on 20-22 June 2012 to mark the 20th anniversary of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), in Rio de Janeiro.
AGORAsia Youth review
The first edition of AGORAsia Youth has successfully finished! Thank you very much for all who have supported and participated in this event.
This session encouraged high schools students in Asia to think, reflect and discuss about one of most challenging global issues: Energy. United Nations declared 2012 as the Year of Sustainable Energy for All, in order to “raise awareness about the importance of increasing access to energy, energy efficiency and renewable energy.”
CONNECTivity Event Update: Videos and Guinness World Record
On Friday, November 25, 2011, UNESCO, SOI Asia, INHERENT and CONNECT Asia organized an online seminar called CONNECTivity event hosted by Directorate General of Higher Education, Indonesia (DIKTI) about building green societies. The seminar connected prominent experts in their fields and participants world-wide through National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) and other ICT networks.
