SOI Site – UNTL Inauguration, 9th December 2010

UNESCO Jakarta and School on Internet (SOI) support the Faculty of Engineering-The National University of Timor Leste (UNTL) to connect with the Regional Information and Communication Technology Network and the National Research and Education Network. The project aims to broaden and enhance access of the National University of Timor Leste to educational materials and improve information/knowledge flow between Timor Leste and other Asian countries.
Marking the success of SOI Site establishment, CONNECT Asia will collaborate with UNTL and SOI Asia partners for an inauguration event to be held on 9th December 2010. The opening session will present the representatives from UNTL, KEIO University, INHERENT, NATCOM UNESCO Timor Leste and UNESCO Jakarta. Each site will connect remotely via video conference. Furthermore, students from different universities from UNTL, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines will share their ideas on science contribution for the national development. Bellow is the tentative agenda for the inauguration.
